The 2020 Bockenauer Felseneck Riesling Spätlese Gold Capsule is pure and flinty on the coolish, fresh and stimulating nose that shows notes of crushed slate, flint stones and iodine. Lush and round yet precise, crystalline, stimulating and salty on the palate, this is a finessed and elegant Riesling with great aging capacity. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted from AP 26 21 in July 2022.

Fragrant peach and grapefruit aromas with dark notes behind the lightness. So pristine and filigree that you barely feel the natural grape sweetness on the palate. Brilliant acidity at the long, sleek finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair\'n Green certification. Drink or hold.
More marked by spontaneous fermentation than some, more fumy/herbal but invitingly so and not OTT. Sweet and tart at the same time, so primary in its citrus purity and with impressive persistence. Lingering sweetness of ripe citrus, a beauty that is sure to gain in complexity. (JH)
