Score 95/100 · Drink 2014-2029, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014
About as polished and elegant as they come from the appellation, Michel’s 2012 Cornas offers rocking crème de cassis, raspberry, spice, toasted bread and licorice to go with an elegant, medium to full-bodied profile. Possessing no hard edges and slightly hidden, sweet tannin, this is an awesome wine that will have 15+ years of sexy drinking.

Dark purple. Sexy, spice-accented aromas of black and blue fruit preserves, violet and cola. Supple and expansive on the palate, offering juicy blueberry and cherry compote flavors and hints of star anise and fruitcake. Ripe, lively Cornas with excellent finishing lift, smooth tannins and a jolt of cracked pepper to add bite.
