Tasting notes
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve still needs time in bottle, but it is quite expressive today. Floral and savory notes add lift to the dense, plush fruit in this explosive, richly textured Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is intense, deceptively medium in body and brooding in style. Lavender, sage, menthol, spice and crème de cassis infuse this striking, delineated Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 could use another few years in barrel, but it is quite impressive, even at this early stage. This is a great showing from the 2013.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is the least expressive of these 2013s, likely the result of its recent bottling. Lavender, black cherries, cloves, menthol, orange peel and dark spices grace the explosive, powerful finish. Dark and enticing, but also quite reticent, the 2013 has a lot to say, but not just yet. The deep, inky finish gives the 2013 much of its virile personality.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is one of the most flashy, overt wines I can remember tasting here. White truffles, smoke, lavender, spices and blueberry jam jump from the glass. This dark, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon has enough density to drink well for a number of years. The 2013 shows the more overt, ripe side of the year.
