Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2025-2036, Neal Martin, May 2022

The 2021 Ségur de Cabanac offers blackberry, wild strawberry and freshly rolled tobacco on the harmonious nose, showing judicious use of oak. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and fine acidity. A little coarse toward the finish, but there is charm and personality here.

A strong vintage up in St Estèphe, this has charm and cheerful berry fruits, soft tannins and an enjoyable early drinker, with a touh of dilution through the mid palate. 55% of production in the grand vin, Eric Boissenot consultant, 30% new oak.
