Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2026-2048, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru is matured in 100% new oak and fully destemmed. It has an opulent, ravishing bouquet, very pure with sorbet-like dark cherry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, plush and dense. Fine acidity which is important because there is 15° alcohol here, so there is a headiness here in a nice way.
