Based on 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 30% new wood, the 2021 Petit-Figeac is a delicious, forward, incredibly charming second wine that has classic currant, tobacco, and floral aromatics, medium body, ripe, polished tannins, and outstanding length. It’s a terrific, outstanding second wine that already offers pleasure yet should evolve nicely over the coming 7-8 years, if not longer.

The 2021 Petit-Figeac has an understated bouquet with brambly red fruit, pencil box and just a touch of marmalade. The palate is quite delicate in style, certainly not powerful, yet focused and refined toward the gentle, iodine-tinged finish.

The 2021 Petit-Figeac is gorgeous. Soft, pliant and beautifully understated, the 2021 is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next decade. Sweet red cherry, red plum, flowers and blood orange all take shape nicely. This is a fine second wine

The 2021 Petit-Figeac is an immensely pretty, pure, charming wine, bursting with aromas of raspberry coulis, violets, blood orange and rose petals, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and suave palate that's bright and precise, with a succulent core of fruit and melting tannins. It will be hard to resist on release.
