The 2021 La Tour Blanche has an attractive nose with peach skin, dried honey and peony scents, well-defined as it gains intensity in the glass. The palate is rich, decadent and low in acidity, and I find it rather cloying on the finish, hence my parsimonious score. It just needs more tension.
The 2021 La Tour Blanche, a blend of 69.5% Sémillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 22.5% Muscadelle is brilliant, evoking aromas of spices, white flowers, orchard fruits and exotic fruits. Moderately weighted and perfectly balanced, it has a lively, vibrant mid-palate with a delicate texture enhanced by a lingering, fresh finish.
Opulent, rich and sweet fruit, luscious texture opening to butterscotch and grilled nectariine. Juicy and fresh with mint leaf edge, good concentration. One point upgrapde, because there is acidity here, athough the overall focus is gourmet rather than lifted.
