With initial blasts of mint, lime, and fresh oak, the nose has a surprising youthfulness, but the palate is more dark and honeyed, accented by pepper and wood spices, including a mes quite- like note. Ripe honeyed peach and apricot emerge on the palate. Pleasant overall, with a smooth texture and viscous mouthfeel, followed by a well-textured, darkly sweet, mid-length finish. A bit on the lighter side, but a pleasant single malt sipper.
