Tasting notes
A softly spicy and overtly earthy nose features notes of both red and dark pinot fruit along with a whiff of violet. The medium-bodied flavors possess a bit more weight and mid-palate density along with very good delineation on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. This is a fine Nuits villages and worth a look. (89-91)/2027+

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières is initially tight on the nose, opening slowly to offer black cherries, blueberry and clementine peel. The palate is medium-bodied with a mixture of red and black fruit, and refreshingly saline in the mouth, particularly on the oyster-shell-tinged finish. Plenty of energy here, even if it’s not the best Grivot Nuits Saint-Georges this vintage.
