Tasting notes
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru comprises 80% Aligoté planted in 1911 and 20% replanted in 2006. It has a relatively light nose with subtle musk, pressed white flowers and a touch of beeswax. The palate is well balanced with a lovely texture, fine acidity and weight, lightly spiced with hints of ginger on a finish with impressive density. Very fine.

That site and cépage were well-adapted to this vintage is proven by the 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Monts Luisants Blanc, a striking wine evocative of citrus zest, crisp Anjou pear, freshly baked bread and almond paste. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with a deep core of fruit and chalky structuring extract, it concludes with a long, saline finish.
