Tasting Notes
This wine is discounted by 20%, from £175 to £140. Domaine de l’Ile is a prestigious estate on the exclusive island of Porquerolles, just off the Côte d'Azur. Sharing the same philosophy as its sister wineries (Chx Rauzan-Ségla and Canon), Domaine de l'Ile has invested in a stellar winemaking team, enlisting the help of Pierre Etcheberry and celebrated winemaker Nicolas Audebert. The 2021 rosé marks their third vintage to date and is a blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache and the native grape of Tibouren. Surrounded by wild, fragrant flora and exposed to fresh sea breezes, Domaine de l’Ile’s vineyards produce a delicate, precise and aromatic rosé. White peach, citrus zest and lightly fragrant white flower aromas swirl from the glass. The freshness on the palate is impressive; the fruit bright and chiselled, nicely countered by a creamy, textured mouth-feel. The finish is long, with a subtle salinity that leaves you reaching for another glass.
