Score 91/100 · Drink 2023-2043, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2022

The 2019 Meursault Village is excellent, unwinding in the glass with aromas of crisp orchard fruit, freshly baked bread, honeycomb, white flowers and struck match. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with a tightly wound and concentrated core, racy acids and a long, chalky finish, this will be a slower burn than its 2018 counterpart, but it will also hit higher heights.

The 2019 Meursault Village is fragrant on the nose with enticing scents of lime, citrus peel, crushed pebbles and grapefruit. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, not terribly complex but it has bags of charm with hints of sour lemon, peach skin and pear towards the finish. It will be difficult to resist in its youth.

Cask sample. Light nose and rather a dull palate with some heaviness and chewiness. Not distinguished. (JR)
