Tasting notes
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d’Orveau was showing a bit of reduction on the nose. Mulberry, light minty aromas begin to emerge with aeration although it does not quite click into fifth gear. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite a good backbone here that lends this a Morey-like personality. Dark berry fruit laced with black pepper and clove towards the finish. Fine.

Cask sample. Deep cherry-ruby. Rounded, sweet strawberry fruit; very refined with slightly lower alcohol. A compact and linear tube of bright fruit. Sweet, charming and elegant with modest flesh. (MH)
