Score 92+/100 · Drink 2025-2045, Neal Martin, Sep 2022

The 2020 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a backward bouquet that demands coaxing from the glass: wet pavement, pressed yellow flowers and a touch of flint. Very focused. Fresh and saline, the palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity; however, it remains quite strict and oddly like a 2021 towards the close. Give this three or four years in bottle.

The 2020 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a very refined bouquet of lemon sherbet, lime flower and crushed stone aromas, although I prefer the intensity of the 2019. The palate is well balanced with an effervescent opening, Candied orange peel and apricot notes gather on the tensile finish. Very fine.
