Tasting notes
Discreet wood sets off wonderfully spicy, elegant and admirably pure aromas that mix both red and dark currant, plum and a whisper of underbrush. There is again fine density to the refined and agreeably vibrant middle weight flavors that are plush yet detailed on the equally well-balanced finish that is sneaky long. It's not every day that even a fine Chapelle can go toe to toe with a fine Bonnes Mares but this one can.

Aromas of cassis, plums, peonies, dark chocolate, exotic spices and loamy soil preface Bouchard's 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated wine that's layered and perfumed, concluding with a long, resonant finish.
