FINE+RARE, Oct 2021

Roche de Bellene’s 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet is a top example of the vineyard and perfectly translates the finer qualities of the white wines in 2020. It is both elegant and pure. The vibrant aromas of honey, fresh spices, cool apricot and a touch of lemon zest rise from the glass. Medium-bodied, this Grand Cru is multi-dimensional, with fresh acidity kicking in on the mid-palate. It is complex and powerful, but notably refined and much more elegant than is typical. This is stunning and the finish just goes on and on. This is Bâtard-Montrachet with real finesse, just how we like it.
