The 2020 Chassagne Montrachet La Goujonne Rouge has a perfumed bouquet, kirsch and maraschino cherries, the 80% whole bunch neatly disguised. The palate offers crunchy red fruit, quite "square", some chewiness on the back palate at the moment, so afford this 18 months in bottle.
Deep purple. The bouquet has stayed very fresh for the vintage, Griottine cherries backed by a sweeter raspberry note. There is good acidity and structure too but this is all about the fruit. Slightly more strawberry at the finish, yet very fresh and extremely long.
