Tasting notes
The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Le Concis du Champs has turned out very well indeed, exhibiting aromas of crisp orchard fruit, fresh peach, orange zest and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's concentrated and fleshy, with serious structure and depth—which won't surprise anyone who saw the small, open clusters with thick skins that Lamy harvested in this parcel in 2020.

The 2020 Chassagne Montrachet La Concis de Champs has an expressive bouquet with orange blossom and mandarin notes, touches of peppermint emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with Granny Smith and a touch of peach skin, gently building towards the finish in possession of Premier Cru intensity. Excellent.
Fuller yellow in colour than La Princée and at least at first I am not picking up much nose. There is good body with some ripe apple and a little ripe pear, with a fresher finish to maintain interest.
