Deep crimson. Edgy fruit that has been reasonably heavily extracted. Needs quite a time. But there is sufficient zest and acidity. (JR)

The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru was only slightly touched by the hail in early August. Lucky escape. The bouquet has a well-defined bouquet with dark berry fruit, white pepper and just a hint of menthol in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, quite minty towards the open and quite feisty finish. Good persistence here. Very fine.

Cask sample. Deep cherry; rich, dense nose of cherries, mulberries and blueberries; round and full. Elegant and suave. Fine tannins. (MH)
