Tasting notes
The fruit for this cuve comes from Basses Maizires, belot Suchots. Its a touch reductive at present, but is instantly plusher showing the imperiality of Vosne (in contrast to the daintiness of the village Chambolle tasted immediately before). Theres a sweetness and solidity to the fruit, but beautiful purity too. Its long and lush with more structure. A grandiose village wine.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has quite a high-toned bouquet, though it maintains control, with macerated black cherries, bilberry and violet scents. The palate is medium-bodied, quite firm in the mouth, a pleasant saline touch but it feels just a little hemmed in on the finish. That should loosen-up once its has completed its élevage.
Exceptionally concentrated dark black colour with purple rim. This seems to be a little on the massive side. Black raspberry maybe plums, not especially Vosne but this can change with further elevage and a racking, as it may very well do.
