2020 Meursault Charmes du Dessus

The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru is composed and poised on the nose, light touches of fennel emerging with time in the glass. The palate is very well balanced, tensile, slightly pithy with stem ginger and lemongrass enlivening the finish. Excellent. Closure: Diam

Mid lemon and lime, a certain amount of flesh is suggested by the nose. There is, however, impressive tension on the palate despite the wealth of the fruit: this is both lovely in itself and classic for Charmes.�
