Tasting notes
Pale garnet. I wonder why this 2013 is still around? Not much nose. And pretty chewy still – even though this wine is well over five years old. Perhaps it was just too tannic in youth, which is why it is being offered only now? (JR)

The 2013 Pinot Noir Zotovich Vineyard is silky, polished and refined to the core. Gracious and inviting, the Zotovich offers a compelling interplay of dark red and bluish-hued fruits and wild flowers, all wrapped around silky tannins. Bright, energetic and beautifully layered throughout, the Zotovich is the most complete of these 2013 Pinots from Gavin Chanin.
Bright ruby-red. Lively, intensely perfumed aromas of red fruit liqueur, smoky minerals and potpourri. Rich, densely packed and focused, offering powerful red fruit and floral pastille flavors lifted by juicy acidity and a peppery nuance. Broad-shouldered but surprisingly lithe, showing no excess fat. Finishes with smooth, sweet, harmonious tannins that fade quickly into the wine's juicy fruit.
