The 2014 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is another terrific Pinot Noir from Chanin. Rose petals, strawberry, spice and forest floor notes all emerge from this medium-bodied, silky, elegant beauty that never puts a foot wrong. Aged 15 months in 15% new French oak, I’d drink it over the coming 5-7 years, but wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve longer.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is striking in its beauty. Dark, layered and inviting, the Sanford & Benedict is superb. There is something magical about S&B. Gavin Chanin has captured it all. Deep, pliant and expressive, the 2014 has a lot to say. What a gorgeous wine this is.
