Tasting notes
The nose here is full of lime and minerality, with amazing citrus purity. It’s pithy and charming, a very “straight” or “vertical” wine – driven by vibrant acidity and subtle minerality. It’s not revealing itself fully yet, with a concentrated core that needs time to unwind.

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chalumeaux wafts from the glass with aromas of pear, freshly baked bread, clear honey and a deft touch of youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's open and expressive, with a satiny attack and an expansive finish.
The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Chalumaux 1er Cru comes from the oldest vines on the estate, planted in 1954. Now this has real complexity on the nose with intense malic fruit, fine mineralité and light sea spray nuances. The palate is well balanced with fine poise. This is a very elegant, suave Puligny that gentle unfolds on the finish, hints of blackcurrant leaf and nettle on the aftertaste. Excellent.
