Tasting notes
The 2019 Etna Rosso Contrada Monte Serra is dusty and floral in style, with nuances of red currant and dried roses forming its slightly murky bouquet. This splashes across the palate with mineral-tinged red berries and savory spices, as saline-mineral tones saturate toward the close. This finishes long and structured, leaving hints of licorice and peppery touches to linger. Yet, through it all, I find myself craving more energy on the palate and depth through the finish.
