Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru les Peuillets, the first to be harvested in this vintage, has a crisp black cherry and red plum-scented bouquet, attractive fruit here and it is neatly entwined with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine thread of acidity and fine-grain tannin, not a deep Savigny-les-Beaune, tensile with a slight attenuation towards the finish. However, there is appreciable freshness here and the silky texture is attractive - this is a big leap up in quality from the village cru and an improvement over the 2014.
