AP number 24 20. Opulent nose. Lovely silky texture. But some green-fruit notes and still a little chewy on the end. Savoury and long with some real interest. (JR)

The 2019 Riesling Alte Reben La Borne is, like the Morstein, more dusty than fruity and is as rich and intense as it is pure, limey and stony. Complex, tight and tensioned as well as fresh and vital, with lots off lemon flavors, this is a long-distance runner with remarkable finesse and tension and stimulating salinity. Again, this is a twin of the Morstein yet with the finessed genetics of the Brunnenhäuschen. Tasted as a sample in April 2020.
