Pale lemon. Just a hint of swimming-pool reduction at the moment, which gives way on swirling, to thyme and sage, followed by yellow apple. Appley acidity courses across the palate, with a marked wet-stone flavour and more sage tones. Long, spicy finish. Good with quite hearty food, I'd imagine. (TJ)

Full bottle 1,448 g. Biodynamic certification by respekt-BIODYN. Organic wine. South-facing at 160–225 m with a slope of 5–20%. Biodynamically farmed, respect-BIODYN certified. 24-hour maceration. Spontaneous ferment in tank. Five months on full lees. Bottled June 2020. RS 0.4 g/l, TA 7.6 g/l. Screwcap. Pale greenish gold. There’s a very slight herbal note from the spontaneous ferment, adding complexity to the golden-citrus fruit. Complex in a mineral way that is more spicy than stone-dust. A minerality that seems to come from deep underground rather than the stone quarry. There’s spice too and the ripeness of apricot and a rather attractive grip in the texture with a sour-fresh and long, herbal and citrus finish. Pure and mouth-cleansing at the end. (JH)

Demeter-certified like all Rebholz's wines. Nervy, transparent nose with real tension and subtle fruit pinging around the palate. Really elegant, thirst-quenching wine that would already give pleasure. Rather filigree – not an adjective one readily associates with Pfalz wines. Bone-dry finish. (JR)

Breathtakingly youthful and fresh, this dry riesling has the straightest line in the known universe! Great interplay of citrusy flavors and wet-stone minerality, driving it across the palate into the very long vibrating finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Better after 2021.
