The 2020 Sénéjac has held on to that seaweed tinged bouquet, with plenty of attractive blackberry and bilberry fruit, a strong estuarine influence at play here. The palate is medium-bodied, a little leaner than its peers, quite tensile though with a fresh, delineated finish. It has a spring in its step and it should drink well for 12-15 years.

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc. Restrained cedar and dark-fruit aromas. Juicy and appetising on the palate with a good depth of fruit and finely honed tannins. Competent and balanced. Good medium-term drinking. Should be GV . (JL)

Ample blackberry and dark cherry fruits as well as a sappy, floral core define the 2020 Château Sénéjac, a pretty, fresh, nicely focused red with class. It should be solid, if not outstanding.
