2020 Petit Gravet Aine

The 2020 Petit Gravet Aîné dazzles with its extraordinary purity, focus and delineation. The Cabernet Franc is especially prominent in the 2020, a wine of brilliance and superb purity. Crushed rose petal, mocha, cinnamon, sweet red cherry and blood orange all race across the palate. A whole range of bright, mineral-infused notes punctuates the finish. Petit Gravet Aîné is an absolutely brilliant wine.

I continue to love the wines from this estate, and the 2020 Château Petit Gravet Aîné looks to be another beautiful wine in a sequence of beautiful wines. Offering an incredible Cabernet Franc character in its floral, spring herb, violet, and darker fruit-driven aromas and flavors, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, brilliant purity of fruit, and a rich, concentrated, yet precise and focused style on the palate. It’s a beautiful wine.
