Tasting notes
The 2020 Les Gravières lacks a bit of definition on the nose, black cherries and cassis, a little monotone perhaps. The palate is sweet and tannic on the entry, but this feels a bit forced and lacks elegance and complexity on the finish.

The 2020 Les Gravières is one of the most distinctive Saint-Émilions readers will come across. Black cherry, graphite, dried herbs and a host of savory and mineral inflections are all beautifully delineated. Vivid and wonderfully persistent, the 2020 is a knock-out.
The 2020 Les Gravières is a powerful, bold Saint-Émilion loaded with intense mineral and savory notes that play off a core of inky dark fruit. Blueberry jam, gravel, smoke, lavender, licorice and cloves add gravitas. Les Gravières is another impressive wine in the trio of 2020s I tasted from proprietor Denis Barraud. I very much like the vibrancy and tension here. Tasted two times.
Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and a juicy finish. Blue fruit, bark and walnuts.
