The 2020 Mauvais Garçon (a.k.a. Bad Boy) is packed with jammy dark fruit, chocolate, leather, menthol and sweet spice. Drink this flavorful, budget-friendly red over the next 2-3 years.
The 2020 Bad Boy sports a deeper ruby/purple color to go with notes of ripe blackberries, peppery herbs, earth, and crushed stone-like minerality. Medium-bodied, it has ample fruit, some chewy tannins, and a great finish, all making from one delicious red that's ideal for drinking on release and over the following 3-4 years.
The 2020 Mauvais Garçon (a.k.a. Bad Boy) is one of the better versions of Jean-Luc Thunevin's entry-level red that I have tasted. Drink it over the next few years, while the dark red fruit remains vibrant. This simple, unpretentious red is flat-out delicious.
