Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Marsannay La Montagne has a well-defined bouquet, the 90% whole bunch lending a welcome pepperiness without distracting from the terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained, slightly chalky tannins, becoming a little rigid toward the finish, where the whole bunch just pokes out a little. Give it a couple of years to meld together.
