Tasting notes
A stone’s throw from one of the oldest lighthouses in the world lies Martin Foley’s barley farm. The site on the southernmost coast is the last stop before the Atlantic Ocean. Propino barley grown in clay/loam soils is exposed to the most extreme maritime conditions. Barley from Foley’s 2015 harvest is stored, malted and distilled separately before being matured for three years and seven months in the highest quality first-fill and virgin American and French oak casks.
About the producer

This remarkable distillery is dedicated to championing the concept of terroir – or téireoir – in spirits, crafting single-origin single malt whiskies. They take the concept of a farm distillery one step further, looking to highlight the link between not just grain and glass, but soil, site and glass
