Tasting notes
Domaine de l’Ile is based on the island of Porquerolles, just off the Côte d’Azur. But this CHANEL-owned estate, like its sister wineries in Bordeaux (Châteaux Canon and Rauzan-Ségla), is one focused firmly on quality, producing Provence rosé of real calibre, defined by its elegance. This is delicate, textural rosé, brimming with mouth-watering freshness and a salty tang that beautifully captures its island location. The strawberry fruit and raspberry sorbet flavours from this Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault dominant blend complement the vibrancy on the palate. Bone dry, the wine has a wonderful cut and a tautness rarely achieved in Provence rosé. The fragrant herbs, light spice and wild floral notes add further aromatic complexity. This is very fine-boned, refined rosé.

Pretty nose of apricot, nectarine, melon, honeysuckle and apple. Itâs medium-bodied, round and fruity. Creamy, fresh finish. Drink now.
A blend of 26% Syrah, 24% Grenache, 18% Rolle (Vermentino), 15% Mourvèdre, 12% Cinsault and 5% Tibouren, this estate, located on the island of Porquerolles, has turned out an impressive 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose Porquerolles. Unusually concentrated, it delivers aromas of crushed stone, strawberry, lime and sea spray. It's medium-bodied and slightly creamy in feel, with a dry, refreshing finish.
The medium pink hued 2020 Cotes De Provence Porquerolles Rosé has a classic Provençal nose of ripe strawberry, cherry, and white peach to go with a medium-bodied, nicely textured, balanced style on the palate. It has bright acidity yet brings more fruit and texture than your run of the mill Provençal Rosé. It's going to be incredibly versatile on the dinner table yet still shine on its own on a hot summer day.
