The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Jachées from Jean-Yves Bizot is very promising, unwinding in the glass over several hours with complex aromas of wild berries mingled with peonies, rose petals and violets, alongside spicy nuances of cinnamon, incense and Egyptian musk. Medium-bodied, fine-boned and intensely flavored, it betrays none of the typical 2018 vintage signatures, exhibiting remarkable vibrancy and definition. It's less demonstrative out of the gates than the utterly seductive 2017, but this is a very serious wine indeed.
