Tasting notes
Dark, bright-rimmed ruby. An expressive bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, licorice and candied flowers, along with a suggestion of cracked pepper. Smooth, sappy and expansive in the mouth, offering intense cherry, black raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a hint of cola. Finishes smoky, spicy and quite long, with sneaky tannins lending shape and subtle grip.

Vibrant nose, crushed strawberry, liquorice and damson. Nicely layered and chewy palate, leather, garrigue and rounded red-fruit character. A well-judged palate and simple well put-together Côtes du Rhône. (AC)
