Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2023-2036, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Demoiselles 1er Cru displays a little more terroir expression than the La Garennes. Crushed chalky scents underlie the lemon thyme and peach aromas, again, just a touch of struck match evolving with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with tangy quince and a marmalade note on the entry. There is a little more bite, more energy here than the La Garenne with a touch of lemongrass lingering on the aftertaste. This is a nicely composed Les Demoiselles.
