Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2018-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014

The 2013 Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Haut Densité Grand Cru is planted at 25,000 vines per hectare with the 40-year-old vines interpolated with 10-year old vines to increase the density. It has a quite brilliant bouquet with stunning mineral intensity. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, but then curls in on itself and feels broody toward the finish. This is a mercurial Criots, but one with wonderful salinity on the finish that will beg another sip. Just a single barrel this year — so good luck bagging one of the 300 bottles.
