Tasting notes
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Thorey 1er Cru comes from a monopole almost equally divided between 50-year-old vines and younger vines planted in 2012. Including 20% whole bunch, it has an attractive nose of dark berry, brown spices, black pepper and light Earl Grey aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, harmonious and silky-smooth, the whole bunch adding a little spice and gaminess toward a finish that fans out gently. Good potential here.
