Tasting notes
There is enough reduction present to push the underlying fruit to the background. There is superb intensity, indeed it's almost painful, on the mouth coating flavors that coat the palate with dry extract before terminating in a sappy, focused and bitter lemon rind inflected finish. In a word, excellent. (Heart - Outstanding top value)

Mingling aromas of pear, orange oil, white flowers and clear honey, the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sous Roche Dumay is medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with lively acids that girdle an ample core of fruit, concluding with a saline finish. The extra concentration of the vintage has brought an additional dimension to this younger vine cuvée.
Cask sample. Fairly rich nose. And then great precision on the lemon-cough-sweets palate. Fresh, juicy, grassy. (JR)
