Tasting notes
The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village has turned out beautifully, unwinding in the glass with notes of raspberries and cherries mingled with subtle hints of petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and precise, with a nicely concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and powdery tannins, it's more classically proportioned than its richer, riper 2018 counterpart.

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village showed just a little more reduction on the nose compared to Drouhin’s other Village Crus. The palate is compact and quite tight, delivering good weight but just missing a little amplitude. However, I do enjoy the sapidity on the aftertaste, and maybe it is simply biding its time. Give it a couple of years in bottle.
About the producer

Joseph Drouhin is one of the largest and most famous producers in Burgundy, making both domaine and négociant wines. It remains family-owned and run, now in the hands of the fourth generation.
