Tasting Notes
Darker fruit, 50% whole bunch, one third new wood which is standard for the Heresztyn 1ers crus. More crimson than purple. Fine even red purple, a little spice at the back, maybe a touch meaty too, good weight a medium bodied Gevrey with some persistence.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin La Perrière ler Cru contains 50% whole bunch and is matured in 30% new oak (Billon and Chassin cooperages). The very cohesive bouquet features brambly red berry fruit, briar, black tea and undergrowth scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a peppery entry, fine acidity and a Morey-like structure toward the finish. While not amazingly long, it is very nicely focused and exudes breeding.
