Score 95/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Jun 2018
The 2016 Malbec fermented in bins with some 70% foot-trodden full clusters and then was put in used barrels for ten months. There is a certain wilderness in this wine, a character of the place I guess, with a touch of iron and blood, and it has a different nose than the rest of the Malbecs from Argentina, perhaps with some reminiscences of the Altura Máxima from Colomé. I believe they have found a very special place with a microclimate that makes it possible to ripen grapes at a high altitude and produce elegant and tantalizing mountain wines like this. The palate is super elegant and balanced. Beautiful. 2,000 bottles produced.
