Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Village was reduced by 30% due to the frost (less than other village crus at the domaine). Including 25% whole-bunch fruit and matured in 30% new oak, this felt just a little smudged on the nose compared to other crus at the moment and I would like more florality to develop during the remainder of its élevage. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that exert a gentle grip, a little conservative and foursquare maybe, but correct and tidy with a touch of spice enlivening the aftertaste. Fine.
