2017 Vinupetra

Shades of violet, lavender and spiced citrus give way to notes of black raspberry, currants and crushed stone as the 2017 Vinupetra comes to life in the glass. This shows the richness of the vintage yet balances it quite well, as silky textures usher in a juicy display of ripe wild berries and sweet spice. Fine tannins linger long, framing the experience nicely, as a staining of blue and purple-tinged fruits slowly fades. There is so much pleasure to be found here already that it’s hard to imagine waiting, but a few years of cellaring is likely to unlock further depths.
