Tasting Notes
Notes of Granny Smith apples, pear, acacia blossom and a whiff of just sliced fennel can be found on the nicely layered nose. The racy and refined middle weight flavors possess fine volume and density while displaying very good length on the balanced finish. This will need to add depth, but my rating offers the benefit of the doubt that it will develop more with a few years of cellaring. (Heart - Outstanding)

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes is the last year Pernot will produce this blend, as she's moving to lieu-dit bottlings from 2020 onward. Offering up aromas of citrus oil, pear, peach and pastry cream, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and lively, with succulent acids and a demonstrative core of fruit.
About the producer

Alvina Pernot is one of the most exciting producers of white Burgundy today. Based in Puligny-Montrachet with some incredible vineyards, this is a name to watch – creating taut and mineral styles of white Burgundy.
