Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2016

The 2012 Lune d'Argent is open, supple and delicious, but it is also forward, and needs to be drunk up. Apricot, peach pit, white flowers and mint are all laced together in the Lune d'Argent, the entry-level wine from Oliver Bernard's Clos des Lunes dry white wine project in Sauternes. The Lune d'Argent is 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc, done mostly in steel, with a dash of barrel fermentation.

This project from Olivier Bernard of Domaine de Chevalier is a blend of 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon. A rich, concentrated, medium to full-bodied, dry white with beautiful fig, honeysuckle and caramelized citrus notes, this fresh, lively, medium-bodied wine should drink well for another 5-6 years.

Formerly Ch Haut Caplane. One-third Sauvignon Blanc, two-thirds Sémillon. Quite rich and fun, sweet start. Good wine. (JR)
