Tasting notes
Vivid magenta. Spice-accented raspberry and cherry aromas, along with hints of woodsmoke, fresh-turned earth and baking spices. Chewy and sharply focused on the palate, offering sweet red fruit, spicecake and floral pastille flavors that deepen as the wine opens up. Fine-grained tannins lend shape to an impressively long, spice-tinged finish that shows fine definition and building florality.

I adore Jason Lett's Meunier, and this 2016 version is delicious. Medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Meunier has a wonderful perfume of crushed boysenberry, violet, blackberries, blueberries and earth with notes of charcuterie, peppercorn, lilac and garrigue. The medium-bodied palate is silky with earth-laced fruits, a grainy frame and long, refreshing finish.
A light, herbal and grassy edge to the sliced-strawberry aromas, making for a fresh and attractive nose. The palate has a very attractive, poached-strawberry core. Such glossy, appealing style. Some nectarines too close. Drink now.
