Tasting notes
The entry-level 2019 La Dame De Boüard from Coralie de Boüard has everything you could ask for in a base wine. Up-front, fruit-loaded, and charming, it delivers sweet black cherry fruits, some spice and dried herb and floral notes, medium to full body, and a soft, already delicious style. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2019 Dame de Boüard is a gracious, inviting second wine. Red berry fruit, spice and mint are all nicely lifted throughout. I would prefer to drink this over the next decade, give or take. All that is missing is a bit of persistence on the finish.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 La Dame de Bouärd offers up notes of Morello cherries, preserved plums and fruitcake with hints of espresso, forest floor and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a sturdy foundation of chewy tannins and just enough freshness to support the generous baked berries flavors, finishing with a peppery kick.
The 2019 Dame de Boüard is so reduced on the nose that I cannot form any opinion on it. The palate demonstrates good power and density, but I think it is better to assess Coralie de Boüard’s wine at a later date.
